Very welcome on my website. My name is Christopher Ketteler and I’m a state-certified guide. To earn the permission to lead you through my adopted home is not easy. You must do a one to two year learn intensive course with a very demanding 3-part state examination at the end which you need to pass to get your license. Now I can guide you, and hopefully many more interested guests through Vienna as well as the rest of Austria. As an Austria guide, I can combine my interest in history and art history with my experience in the tourism and hotel industry (including a degree in International Hotel Management in London).

I might not be Austrian born, but as with many Germans since the time of Beethoven, Vienna has become my adopted home. Many spots here in Austria I probably know better by now than my native home Münster and its surrounding region. My aristocratic origins and many family connections to Austria have intensified my passion for history – also because many of my ancestors were part of this history. I’m an Austria guide with a passion, as there is nothing more wonderful than presenting interested guests in an entertaining manner my adopted home.
